Lightel Develops Tip to Facilitate URM Connector Inspection

As data volumes continue to increase, fiber optic interconnect systems are becoming denser and more modular. The URM fiber optic multi-channel connector is sometimes used to support the migration to 40G/100G. The URM connector provides connectivity for up to 8 channels with superior packing density resulting in significant space savings.
Building on our portfolio of over 120 tips, Lightel now offers a specialized tip for the URM connector. The tip is compatible with our CI-1100 and all our DI- inspection probes, and provides extended reach allowing the user to inspect populated modules.
